It's kind of unfortunate, isn't it? At first glance, newsmap looks incredibly cool... you get drawn into it and think "hey, they're doing some thinking for me here by making the important stories stand out more - plus it just looks cool". Then after a couple of days you just get bored with it.
As much as I like google news, I still haven't gotten over reading an actual newspaper every day... I still get the WSJ and Financial Times delivered every morning and still feel like there is no good replacement for being able to hold the paper and read it.
