Take a look back at what the state of the art was for websites in 1996. Does not seem all that long ago... until you view a few of these beauties.

Ed Wood would be proud

Here is a rogues gallery of lame technology mascots. Fairly comprehensive except for the glaring omission of MicroSoft's Bob. The last mascot in the gallery (the bunny in the space helmet) by Plan 9 from Bell Labs is my favorite. Named Glenda... Ed Wood would indeed be proud.
